Fox News to be Named Bush Press Secretary
Posted April 20th, 2006 by brogThe Administration has floated the name of Tony Snow, Fox News Anchor, for the position of Press Secretary (now that Scott McClellan has stepped down, err, been kicked out the door). While there is nothing wrong with naming a journalist to the post, after all, many press secretaries come from a background in journalism, the naming of Snow would create a strange kind of solipsism. Fox already largely serves as Bush's press secretary: highlighting information favorable to the president, minimizing information that is not.

Voting: The Perfect Use Of Open Source Software?

She's the chair of the Senate Elections, Reapportionment & Constitutional Amendments Committee, which held a hearing on the topic today (Feb 8, 2006). Elections might be an ideal use of this technology.
